Moto X4 Launch Now Expected at IFA 2017, With Stall Spotted at Venue The much-leaked next smartphone in the Moto X series,  Moto X4 , was recently expected to launch at a Facebook Live event held by  Moto  Philippines at 6pm local time (3:30pm IST) on Saturday, September 2. Now, a renowned tipster has shared an image of a Moto X4 launch counter straight from Berlin where the  IFA 2017  is happening, suggesting that Moto could launch the smartphone earlier at the trade show. Facebook and Instagram services interrupted; people take to Twitter to share news, jokes People using social networking sites Facebook and Instagram had trouble accessing their profiles and publishing posts for about an hour on Saturday evening. What followed was a surge of Twitter posts on the same. S ocial networking platform Facebook and its photo-sharing service Instagram were down on Saturday evening. The outage occurred around 7pm with users unable to publish a post, and in some cases, even log in to the site. A message stating “Oops: Something went wrong. We’re working on it getting it fixed as soon as we can” appeared while attempting to access it. There was also a major spike of down reporting on the third-party website Down Detector, which keeps a real time track of platforms running. The outage seems to have begun around 7pm, the Down Detector graph indicated.

LAVA TO OFFER 2-YEAR WARRANTY FOR SMARTPHONES AND FEATURE PHONES Indian smartphone brand Lava has announced two-year warranty offer on all its major devices including smartphones and feature phones. However, this offers only applies to the purchase of new products only. While the consumers who buy the Lava mobile starting August 26 can avail 2-year warranty offer. Lava  smartphones and feature phone will come with six months validity on accessories and a one year warranty on a touch panel and  LCD. The company clarifies that this offer is a part of its  ‘Make in India’ initiative. Vivo  on Friday added the "Y69" to its Y line-up of smartphones at Rs 14,990. In terms of camera specifications, "Y69" features a 13 MP rear camera with "Live Photo" feature. The 16 MP "moonlight" selfie camera comes with f/2.0 aperture and "group selfie" mode. "We are pleased to introduce the "Y69" in the Y series and are confident that its premium design and superior camera features will offer great value to customers at an ideal price point," said Kenny Zeng, CMO, Vivo India, in a statement. In today’s day and age, there are just two mobile operating systems in the world that matter – iOS by Apple, and then there’s Android by Google. But today is owned by Google.
